Braces
Braces are multi-purpose tools. Used with spoon (center) or auger bits, they are used for boring holes. Holes in the seat for legs and spindles, in the undercarriage, and in the bows and arms.
Used with a tenon rounder (left), they shape a perfect tenon on undercarriage parts. Fitted with spoke pointers (right) they round tenon ends to fit in holes made by spoon bits. They can also be used with a reamer to transform a regular hole in a cone shaped one to fit the legs (not shown).
